Hi, I’m Anuja Jalota

Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist

BSc(hons), MSc, Dip NT (CNM) mNNA, mGNC, PGCE, NPQH

From Science Teacher to Functional Nutritionist in Wolverhampton

I’m Anuja, a Qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist based in Wolverhampton—and my journey into nutrition and functional medicine began with a personal turning point.

Over 14 years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). That moment changed everything. I began exploring holistic therapies and the impact of nutrition on chronic health—what I discovered was life-changing. It opened my eyes to how much control we can take back through food and lifestyle.

With a background in science education—I was formerly a Science Teacher and Assistant Principal—my diagnosis re-ignited a deep passion for natural health and healing. I made the decision to retrain and qualify as a Nutritional Therapist with the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I earned my Diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy.

In 2018, I further expanded my knowledge by completing the AFMCP (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice) with The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). This training allows me to go beyond surface-level symptoms and instead understand the root cause of what’s really going on.

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine focuses on treating the whole person—not just the symptoms—by exploring the interaction between genetics, environment, and lifestyle. During consultations, I take the time to understand your full health story and work with you to improve both your physiological function and environmental inputs such as diet, stress, sleep, and more.
